Charming hotel with great service and view in the valley

The hotel in Himalayan wood housing style is very uniquely designed and comfortable to stay at. Breakfast (western and Indian) was really good and there is very helpful service staff at all times. Our favourite was the honey welcome drink! Remark: Be aware the hotel is in Darassalam (walking dismantle to market), not in McLeod!

Wonderful staff - the manager is so friendly and the waiter is lovely. The hotel is a former summer palace and is just beautiful, full of character and charm. If you like heritage stays with history, class and comfort, this place is just perfect.

I loved the hotel, it has history and that gives it a place of honor for me. There are many hotels but you can see the history in them very few. Talking about the hotel staff I can only say thank you for how they have taken care of me, their service is excellent. I will definitely be back.

The quality of the service delivered is is very high. The staff is very committed to their work, service. I highly recommend this hotel for family stay as well as official stay. We are especially delighted with Mr Indrajeet Rana(the GM of the hotel), who personally takes care of the comfort and needs of the visitors. I give 5/5 to the hotel as well as the staff.

Good things: Stayed for holidays for 3 nights at this hotel. It was cozy and the staff was warm hearted. This a century-plus old building in its own century, still. As you enter the wooden carved door, you exit present and get to know a part of Indian history that you will definitely Carry back to present. The food is decent and the service prompt. Not so good things: The neighbourhood is crammed for breathing space with narrow lanes, though the main market is a walking distance. The regality of the place is fading, and patchy curating is visible all over the place; what it requires is total facelift. Overall a decent stay but definitely could have been better.
